Special Issue – The First International Scientific Conference: Media and the Palestinian Cause in the Era of Digital Transformation — Reality and Future Prospects
Vol. 13 No. 04 (2025)The International Scientific Conference, “Media and the Palestinian Cause in the Digital Transformation Era,” was held on July 14, 2025, in Ramallah and organized by Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK). Of 70 submitted papers, 30 were accepted after peer review, and 15 selected papers were published in a special issue of the Palestine Technical University Research Journal.
Guest Editor: Walaa Battat (Associate Prof.)
Dr. Walaa Battat is an Associate Professor of Media at Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie, Palestine. She holds a PhD in Media Studies , with research interests in media and communication, digital media, political communication, and children’s rights. Her research focuses on media representations of children in conflict, media framing, and the intersection of media and human rights. She is also the Founder and President of the Arab International Center for Research and Strategic Studies.

The Conference on the Duality of Hope and Ambition
Vol. 13 No. 2 (2025)The Regional Conference, “The Duality of Hope and Ambition,” was held on July 10–11, 2024, organized by the Teacher Creativity Center in Palestine in partnership with the Arab Campaign for Education and several Arab institutions. The conference focused on the psychological and social impacts of wars and conflicts on teachers and their effects on the quality of the educational process. It also aimed to propose strategies and solutions to enhance teachers’ well-being and improve the quality of education across the Arab region.

Dr. Ahmad Ammar is an academic and researcher at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK), with contributions to teaching, scientific research, and academic service. Vol. 10 No. 2 (2022)The First International Conference of Eastern University on Education and Distance Learning: Opportunities and Challenges ", held during the period 8-9 March 2022. The conference reviewed the reality of distance education, opportunities in this emergency educational medium, and the challenges facing its development, in an effort to overcome it and pave the way for the future to be better through the participation of researchers from various disciplines in educational and human sciences. The conference included four main themes: psychological and educational impacts, local and international experiences, 21st century skills and educational funding opportunities. The conference attracted many local and international participants, which were distinguished and diversified to cover the conference's themes, the total number of papers received was 63, reviewed by 62 scholars and academics nominated by the Conference's organizing committee. 24 of them were accepted for publication in the Palestine Technical University Research Journal in cooperation between the Deanship of Scientific Research of Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, Tulkarim-Palestine, and the Eastern University of the Sultanate of Oman.
