Special Issue – The First International Scientific Conference: Media and the Palestinian Cause in the Era of Digital Transformation — Reality and Future Prospects
Vol. 13 No. 04 (2025)The International Scientific Conference, titled 'Media and the Palestinian Cause in the Digital Transformation Era: Reality and Future Prospects,' was held on July 14, 2025, in Ramallah. The conference was organized by Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK) under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa. The conference witnessed broad participation from local and international researchers, academics, and media professionals. Participants discussed several specialized scientific themes, most notably: media narrative and interactive discourse, the Palestinian cause in Arab and international media, the application of artificial intelligence in the media sector, and various other primary and secondary topics. A total of seventy research papers were submitted to the conference. Thirty of these papers were accepted following a rigorous scientific peer-review process conducted by the conference's Scientific Committee. This committee comprised a select group of academics from Palestinian, Arab, and international universities, all of whom were officially commissioned by the conference presidency. At the conclusion of the conference, fifteen of the accepted research papers were published in a special issue of the Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie Research Journal. This was carried out in collaboration with the university's Deanship of Scientific Research in Tulkarem, reinforcing the university's mission to support scientific research and advance knowledge in the fields of media and Palestinian studies.

Vol. 10 No. 2 (2022)The First International Conference of Eastern University on Education and Distance Learning: Opportunities and Challenges ", held during the period 8-9 March 2022. The conference reviewed the reality of distance education, opportunities in this emergency educational medium, and the challenges facing its development, in an effort to overcome it and pave the way for the future to be better through the participation of researchers from various disciplines in educational and human sciences. The conference included four main themes: psychological and educational impacts, local and international experiences, 21st century skills and educational funding opportunities. The conference attracted many local and international participants, which were distinguished and diversified to cover the conference's themes, the total number of papers received was 63, reviewed by 62 scholars and academics nominated by the Conference's organizing committee. 24 of them were accepted for publication in the Palestine Technical University Research Journal in cooperation between the Deanship of Scientific Research of Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, Tulkarim-Palestine, and the Eastern University of the Sultanate of Oman.
