Abstract

The study aimed to explore the evaluation of the Sultanate of Oman’s experience in distance education in light of the Corona pandemic from the guardians' point of view. The study followed the descriptive research design.  A questionnaire was built to measure the Sultanate of Oman’s experience in distance education in light of the Corona pandemic from the guardians' point of view.  It consisted of (17) statements; distributed over three categories; evaluation at the school level which consisted of (6) statements, evaluation at the level of the means of communication and technology used which consisted of (5) statements, and evaluation at the level of the parents themselves which consisted of (6) statements. The study sample of the study consisted of (294) guardians from different governorates of the Sultanate. The study concluded that the degree of guardians' evaluation of distance learning in the Sultanate of Oman was moderate. Also, there were no differences due to the qualification variable in the degree of guardians' evaluation of distance education. The study made several recommendations, the most important of which is the need to train guardians on modern technologies and to establish cooperation between the school and guardians.
