Evaluating the Sultanate of Oman’s experience in distance education in light of the Corona pandemic from the guardians' perspectives

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the level of educational stress that A'sharqiyah University students are exposed to and their level of satisfaction with e-learning. It also aimed to investigate the relationship between educational stress and satisfaction with e-learning during Corona pandemic. The study used the descriptive approach, where two tools were designed for the study. A tool for measuring educational stress which consisted of (14) items, and a tool for measuring satisfaction with e-learning, which consisted of (11) items. The study sample consisted of (254) male and female students from A'sharqiyah University. The study concluded that the level of educational stress among A'sharqiyah University students with a mean of (3.74). The study also found that the level of satisfaction with e-learning among students A'sharqiyah University was average with a mean of (3.28). The study also found a relationship between educational stress and its relationship to satisfaction with e-learning during Corona pandemic among students of A'sharqiyah University. The study had several recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of activating student counseling within the university and providing training workshops for students to deal with exam anxiety.
