Abstract

: The study aims to identify the challenges of employing digital learning in the educational process from the perspective of senior teachers in the Sultanate of Oman. It also seeks to determine whether there are statistically significant differences in these challenges based on the variables of gender, specialization, years of experience, educational level, and educational governorate. The researchers adopted a descriptive approach.To answer the study questions, the researchers applied a questionnaire on the challenges of employing digital learning in the educational process, consisting of 12 items divided into four dimensions: challenges related to teachers, challenges related to students, administrative challenges, and external environmental challenges. The questionnaire was developed by the researchers and applied to a sample of 242 senior teachers across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The study results were as follows:

The challenges related to teachers and the external environment received a very high evaluation.

The challenges related to students and the administrative aspects received a high evaluation.

There were no statistically significant differences in the challenges faced by teachers in employing digital learning in the educational process from the perspective of senior teachers based on the variables of gender and specialization.

However, there were statistically significant differences in the challenges faced by teachers in employing digital learning in the educational process from the perspective of senior teachers based on the variables of years of experience, educational qualification, and educational governorate.

Additionally, the study proposed solutions to overcome the challenges faced by teachers in employing digital learning in the educational process.
