Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of the Palestinian Schools Adoption Program in national funding for education from the perspective of the adopted school principals. The study was conducted in the second semester of the academic year (2023/2024). The study community consisted of all the adopted school principals, numbering (1218) male and female principals. The study sample consisted of (120) male and female principals who were selected randomly. the researcher developed a structured questionnaire consisting of 34 items designed to assess the adoption program from various dimensions., distributed in Six dimensions: (justifications for the school adoption program, objectives of the adoption program, areas of the adoption program, the role of the adoption program committees, follow-up and supervision, the role of the school principal in the adoption program, community participation). The validity and reliability of the study tool were verified, as the reliability coefficient reached (91% ). The results of the study showed that the total arithmetic means for all study dimensions reached (3.93), and the total standard deviations for all study axes were (0.37). The study recommended the necessity of activating the adoption program committees at the ministry level and the directorate level, and it also recommended the necessity of giving a margin of authority to the school principal to activate the adoption program in his school.
