Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of availability of future foresight skills in leadership among school principals in the Sultanate of Oman from the teachers' point of view. The study sample consisted of (626) teachers in basic education schools for grades 5-10, and the results of the study concluded that the degree of availability of future foresight skills in leadership among school principals in the Sultanate of Oman from the teachers’ point of view came at the level of High, as the field of initiative skill ranked first, while the field of creativity and imagination ranked last. The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences (α≥0.05) because of gender, qualification, and years of experience in all fields and in the total degree. The study recommended the need to prepare technical programs for school principals to help them connect with their peers at the local and regional levels, and to enable them to use technology to relieve work pressures and provide educational development programs.
