The Reality of Participative Leadership and Its Relationship with Security Crisis Management in the Central Operations Administration of the Palestinian Police

The study aimed to identify the reality of participatory leadership and its relationship with security crisis management in the Central Operations Directorate of the Palestinian Police Force. To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher employed a descriptive correlational approach and used a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The study population consisted of employees working in the Central Operations Directorate of the Palestinian Police Force, totaling 257 individuals of various military ranks and both genders, while the study sample included 119 respondents. The study yielded several key findings, most notably that the level of participatory leadership in security crisis management within the Central Operations Directorate of the Palestinian Police Force was high. Additionally, a positive correlation was found between employees' responses regarding participatory leadership and security crisis management within the Palestinian Police Force, it also showed statistically significant differences in favour of males, while it showed differences according to job title with regard to participative leadership in favour of managers. The study recommended enhancing the role of participatory leadership in security crisis management within the Central Operations Directorate of the Palestinian Police Force, establishing a specialized department for crisis management within the police force Organization and Providing reports to the public on various crises through Public Relations Department.
