Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between brain dominance and some physical and coordination abilities among the Jordanian junior soccer team. To achieve the goals of this study, the descriptive approach has been applied to 16 Jordanian junior under 16 soccer Jordanian team in training season 2019 . Additionally, to collect the data, Diane's Brain Dominance scale (Diane, 2005) and the translator by (Kaddoumi, 2010), were used., and the following physical tests: long jump push-up, 40-meter speed, sit and reach, and coordinative abilities as digital squares, multi-directional runners, stairs, balls and sense of distance. The results indicated that there is a relationship between brain dominance and speed also the coordinative abilities, the ability of motor rhythm, and the ability of reaction speed for soccer junior’s players, also there is a relationship between brain dominance and speed and coordinative abilities to situation’s estimating and the ability of making a suitable effort for distance. The researchers recommend paying attention to the selection of soccer players and junior sprinters according to integrated brain domination and working on developing it during training programs.
