Academic Problems Facing Vocational Students in The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie in the light of some variables

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the academic problems facing students of vocational education (industrial branch) enrolled in the College of Engineering and Technology at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie and identify the most important ones. The study used the descriptive analytical  approach, and the study sample consisted of (274) male and female students who were selected by a simple random method from students in the College of Engineering and Technology at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie . To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers developed a tool for the study, which is the questionnaire, which consisted of (43) items. The results of the study revealed that the total score for the academic problems facing the study sample was moderate. The results of the study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences for the academic problems Which the study sample faces due to the gender variable, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the academic problems facing the study sample due to the variable of the reason for joining the vocational industrial school, which was in favor of the desire to learn a profession and become a professional. The study recommended set of recommendations, the most important of which are: Educating community members the importance of vocational education, reconsidering the conditions for accepting vocational education students at the university.
