Problems of Postgraduate Students while Preparing Scientific Theses in Palestinian Universities

This study examines the most important problems that graduate students face and affect their performance while writing and preparing their theses in Palestinian universities - Southern Governorates "Al-Quds Open University, Al-Azhar University, Al-Aqsa University, Islamic University". This study used the descriptive method. A pre-prepared questionnaire was applied to a sample of graduate students for the academic year (2021/2022). The sample consisted of (120) male and female students who were chosen deliberately. The results of the study showed that the academic staff is the biggest problem for graduate students, when preparing their scientific theses, as it obtained a (medium) degree with a rate of (%74.3). The study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α ≥ 0.05) in the average difference in the study members' attitudes towards the problems facing graduate students. During the preparation of theses in Palestinian universities for the variable: university gender, and the variable of academic specialization. The results of the study also showed that the highest items in the four domains were: The academic staff did not seek to improve the research skill level of their students.
